Requirements of a good Personal Trainer

Certification

  • The personal trainer you are looking should have updated certificate in CPR and/or First Aid from a reputed fitness organization.
    e.g ACSM, ACE or NSCA
  • Personal trainer must have several years of experience and should know your goals and way to achieve those.
  • Your trainer must be focussed on you during your session and should listen to your every query.
  • You can find personal trainer in your local gymnasium or can enquire in yellow pages.

Warning

  • Have very good communication with your trainer.
  • Consult your doctor if trrainer supplies you with herbs, pills or any questionalble supplements.
  • Be careful if trainer dismisses your questions or don't answer to your queries.
  • Don't allow to dignose or treat your serious injuries, go to your doctor. A good trainer will advice you to consult the doctor and not diagnose himself.
  • A personal trainer should watch you, correct your alignment, and explain what you're doing during your session.

  • Any minor query should be addressed to trainer immediately or during the session.
  • Give notice to make changes in your session schedule and always be well equipped with a towel and a bottle.
  • Save time by writing all your queries on paper and discuss with your trainer before or after session with his consent.
