If you have diabetes, your blood glucose can go too high if you eat a little extra. The patient generally feels very sick when this happens. The blood sugar levels may drop or go very high if diabetes medicines are not taken properly. The blood sugar or glucose is the main ingredient which is a source of energy.

To maintain these blood levels healthy patient needs to follow the following guidelines. A person suffering from diabetes should not skip meals or snack.The timings for a particular event should fairly be carried out at certain fixed timings. e.g. Daily exercise should be worked out at regular timings. Same amount of food should be consumed at same time each day.

Blood glucose (sugar) is the main sugar found in the blood and is the body's main source of energy. Thus daily events, timings at which these are carried, amount of food consumed affect the blood glucose level. These levels should be maintained particularly by the diabetes patient.
